This page is a directory of information of use to users of PPR. PPR is a printer spooler specially designed for spooling jobs to PostScript printers or to non-PostScript printers using Ghostscript. This release has better IPP support. The code is much cleaner and various half-completed and obsolete features have been dropped. We have been using it in production for about seven years now. As soon as any installation problems which early users may report have been fixed we will release version 2.00. Because this is a major release, it installs itself alongside PPR version 1.XX. For example, the configuration files for PPR version 1.XX are in /etc/ppr while for PPR 2.XX then are in /etc/ppr2. 7 December 2006PPR 1.55 has been released.
